Chiang Dao Cave

 

Ca.  70 km von Chiang Mai entfernt in nördlicher Richtung liegt das Wat Chiang Dao. Der Tempel befindet sich in einen riesigen Höhlenkomplex, wo auch zahlreiche heilige Buddha-Statuen untergebracht sind.

 

Die Höhle ist zum Teil elektrisch beleuchtet, doch wer weiter in die Höhlen vordringen will, der muss einen Führer nehmen. Des Weiteren gibt es noch Fledermäuse, Spinnen und weitere Krappeltiere zu sehen, die sich in der Dunkelheit zurechtfinden.
